The Delhi High Court on Monday (September 21, 2026) adjourned to September 30 the hearing of bail pleas filed by former JNU scholar Umar Khalid and activist Sharjeel Imam in the case alleging a larger conspiracy behind the 2020 North-East Delhi riots. A Bench of Justices Prathiba M. Singh and Dinesh Bhatt deferred the proceedings after the prosecution sought an adjournment, informing the court that Additional Solicitor General S.V. Raju — appearing for the State — was unwell.

CNN, MS NOW, and Politico will sue the Trump administration after being denied access to the White House, the news outlets said in a joint statement on Monday (September 21, 2026). “This morning, we notified the government that we are filing a lawsuit today to protect our First Amendment rights and defend the principle that the government does not decide what the press reports or publishes,” the statement said.
