PM Modi, CM Vijay inaugurate first stretch of chennai metro phase 2

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay have inaugurated the first stretch of the Chennai Metro Phase 2. The project is part of a larger infrastructure initiative in Chennai valued at over ₹13,000 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay inaugurated the Poonamallee–Vadapalani stretch of Chennai Metro Phase 2 on October 11. The first section of the new network will open to commuters at 4 p.m., with trains running every 10 minutes during peak hours. Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹13,000 crore in Chennai.
