Google Opens Its SynthID Watermark Detector To The Public

Google has released its SynthID Detector to the public, allowing users to identify AI-generated watermarks in images, video, and audio. The tool currently supports media created by Google and select partners like OpenAI and NVIDIA.

Pushmeet Kohli, VP of Science and Strategic Initiatives at Google DeepMind, announced the expansion in a blog post . Google introduced an early version of the detector last year, and journalists, media professionals and researchers could join a waitlist for access.
