Alleged trespasser stopped outside Kamala Harris’ Malibu home

An alleged trespasser was stopped by police on former Vice President Kamala Harris’ property in Malibu, California, Friday, officials said. The individual entered the property, where Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, live Friday night, but was stopped by security personnel before they reached the house itself, Eduardo Negrón, a spokesperson for Harris, said Saturday. “Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly,” Negrón added. The Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious person call at the residence at 10:30 p.m. Friday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “When deputies arrived they made contact with the private security detail on the property,” the department said.
