7th attempt on my life in 6 months: Abhishek Banerjee claims BJP attack on home

Mamata All India Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday said that BJP supporters attacked his Kalighat Road residence in the early hours of the day, alleging that the incident was the seventh attempt on his life in the last six months. The allegation came amid reports of a late-night clash between BJP and TMC supporters outside his residence, following which police intervened to bring the situation under control.Banerjee alleged that BJP supporters pelted stones at his house around 2 am after conducting continuous reconnaissance of the premises for two days. He also accused the judiciary of failing to intervene despite repeated attempts on his life. "After two days of continuous recce, this is how BJP hooligans attacked my house at 2 AM today.
