Unseen handlers monitored television news broadcasts and relayed real time details to the suspects who allegedly opened fire on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai on October 18, according to police sources.

The shooting outside a park in the Juhu neighbourhood injured the actor's driver and a vlogger, while Shroff escaped unhurt from the attack.

Ten people have been detained or arrested across multiple states as part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting.

The case has intensified concerns about the influence of organised crime networks within the Indian film industry.

Investigators stated that the shooters received instructions through encrypted Voice over Internet Protocol messaging applications while fleeing.

When television channels broadcast footage of the suspects, one alleged shooter received a direct mobile message.

"Tumhare chehre aa gaye hain, nikal jao waha se," read the message sent to the suspect, according to crime branch sources.

The warning told the trio that their faces were public and instructed them to leave their current location immediately.

Police apprehended 3 primary suspects, identified as 18-year-old Phool Singh, 18-year-old Rehan Rahisuddin Ansari and 22-year-old Rithik Mahto, on a train in Kota.

The arrested suspects have been remanded to police custody until October 31.

Anil Pandit has claimed responsibility for the attack in an unverified social media post linking the incident to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Mumbai police have not officially verified any connection between the shooting and the Bishnoi gang.

Authorities are still working to determine who ordered the attack and which individual specifically managed the communications from abroad or elsewhere.
