Jordanian security personnel detained three male suspects on Monday following an early morning exchange of gunfire, concluding a manhunt launched after a mass shooting at a house of worship left nine individuals dead.
The raid occurred in the southern governorate of Karak, situated south of Amman, according to the Public Security Directorate.
No law enforcement personnel sustained injuries during the operation, though all three suspects suffered wounds when officers returned fire.
The violence unfolded on Friday during a funeral service at a Greek Orthodox church located in the village of Hammoud, which rests inside a region home to minority Christian communities.

In addition to the nine fatalities, the assault resulted in injuries to more than two dozen attendees, with some reports citing 34 wounded victims.
The attack has drawn intense scrutiny within the kingdom due to its occurrence during a religious gathering, prompting high-level government vows of retribution against extremists.
“The security services have fulfilled their duties, resulting in the capture of those who carried out this terrorist act,” said Mazen Al-Faraya, the interior minister, during a broadcast interview.
Al-Faraya added that the suspects put up strong resistance before officers subdued them and took them into custody.
King Abdullah II had previously instructed officials to deploy severe measures against anyone attempting to fracture national unity.
Following the arrests, the monarch praised the operations on social media.

“We vowed the terrorists would not escape punishment, and no proponent of dark ideologies that divide Jordanians will be tolerated,” said King Abdullah II.
Authorities have not yet attributed the violence to any specific militant faction, and no organization has issued a formal claim of responsibility.
Funerals for eight of the victims took place near the church on Sunday, drawing thousands of mourners.
Investigators continue to examine potential motives behind the shooting as security remains heightened across the region.
