Bollywood actor Salman Khan announced that his upcoming war drama film Maatrubhumi will arrive in cinemas on December 4, following multiple delays from earlier planned release dates.
The film will clash at the box office with the Shraddha Kapoor-starring film Eetha.
Maatrubhumi is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and also stars Chitrangda Singh, Mukesh Rishi, Ankur Bhatia, Zeyn Shaw and Abhilash Chaudhary.
The project was originally titled Battle of Galwan and takes inspiration from the 2020 military conflict between India and China.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification passed the trailer on Wednesday, November 4, granting it a U/A 16+ certificate with a runtime of 4 minutes and 43 seconds.
Jio Studios will handle all India distribution for the film.
During the trailer launch event, Khan dismissed circulating reports that the script faced government pressure or required changes due to sensitive diplomatic ties between India and China.
"This ongoing narrative that we were making a film against China and that our government has pressured us to change the script or rewrite it, it's all nonsense," said Salman Khan.
Khan described the plot as a narrative focusing on the dual perspectives of soldiers caught in a difficult situation rather than an attack on any nation.
"The story is about soldiers, soldiers of two countries," said Salman Khan.

Defence journalists Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh officially ended their collaboration with the film team.
Aroor and Singh provided the original book story from India's Most Fearless 3 that initially inspired the project.
"As the film has evolved, it has moved beyond the account of the Galwan incident in our India's Most Fearless series that first brought us on board," said Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh in a joint statement.
Khan also compared the character traits of the film's protagonist to the Hindu epic figure Ram during the press event.
