Trinity Rodman made a 200-mile trip from Washington to New York on Sunday after playing for Washington Spirit, arriving at Arthur Ashe Stadium in time to watch boyfriend Ben Shelton lose the US Open final to Alexander Zverev.Rodman was playing for the Washington Spirit against Boston Legacy at almost the same time as Shelton's first Grand Slam final, making it difficult for her to get to New York. But after the Spirit's 3-0 loss, the US soccer star travelled north and entered Shelton's box before the end of his 6-3 7-6(2) 5-7 6-2 defeat. She was wearing a shirt with Shelton's face on it."I knew it was going to be pretty close to impossible to get here, but even just making the effort and trying is insane,” Shelton told reporters.
