The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party says it has established a new Strategic Presidential Team (SPT) as its highest decision-making and strategic leadership body. This comes as party president Jacob Zuma dissolved the previous Presidential Task Team (PTT) with immediate effect as part of a restructuring of the party's leadership.
The Presidential Task Team was established by Zuma in February this year as the MK Party geared up for the 2026 local government elections. At the time, the party said the structure would support Zuma in providing strategic direction and coordinating the organisation's expanding operations ahead of the polls.
