She said some people had badmouthed her, claiming she was broke, down and out.

But I wasn’t broke. I didn’t have enough money because I had gone for ukuthwasa. Some of my friends distanced themselves from me.

“One of them even spread lies that I had gone broke just because I asked her to lend me money,” said Zodwa.
