ZF Wind Power will expand its wind turbine gearbox manufacturing capability at the Coimbatore plant to 15 GW from the current 12 GW, said Sreenivas Naidu, Executive Director of ZF Wind Power Coimbatore Private Limited.

The company will invest almost ₹250 crore to make additional two GW gearboxes and assemble another GW of wind turbine gearboxes, taking the total capacity to 15 GW. The additional facilities are expected to be commissioned by June 2027.
