ZAMBIA: ZCCB Begins Strategic Planning Process for 2027-2036
The Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has begun developing a 10-year strategic plan for 2027–2036. The initiative aims to address social, economic, and pastoral challenges while strengthening the Church's role as a moral voice in society.

The Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has commenced developing its 10-year Strategic Plan for the period 2027–2036, aimed at strengthening the Church’s mission and responding to social, economic, political, and pastoral challenges.
The process has entered a key stage with a Strategic Planning Workshop, held from June 21 to 27 at Kasisi Retreat Centre in Lusaka, bringing together about 45 participants from the Conference and its affiliated institutions.
Speaking during the opening Mass of the Workshop, ZCCB Secretary General Fr. Francis Mukosa emphasized the importance of introspection for both individuals and organizations, saying it helps to recognize areas of success and identify mistakes that require correction.
And in his opening remarks, Fr. Mukosa said the planning process is intended to provide a pastoral vision rooted in the Gospel and guide the Church’s work over the next decade.
