KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called for a forensic audit of Felda to investigate various allegations, including abuse of power and governance failures.
Zahid said the probe should clearly establish the cause of the losses faced by Felda and identify those responsible.
He added that while he was open to the formation of a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) to investigate Felda, he stressed that it must not aim to persecute or humiliate any individual.
“Those responsible should certainly be brought to justice if there is strong evidence against them,” he said after attending the World Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo (WITEX 2026) at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur today.
