Zack Polanski seeks to stand for by-election in former PM Starmer's seat
Green Party politician Zack Polanski has announced his intention to run for the Holborn and St Pancras by-election following Sir Keir Starmer's resignation. The seat is a traditional Labour stronghold, but the Greens are aiming to capitalize on recent local election gains.

Polanski, who is currently a London Assembly member but not a member of Parliament, said he was "so excited by the prospect" of being the first Green MP for Holborn and St Pancras.
The Greens are targeting the seat, until now a Labour stronghold, after coming second to Labour in the area in local elections earlier this year.
