Yvonne Lim throws 'We Survived PSLE' party, jokes parents were 'more relieved'

Actress Yvonne Lim celebrated her son's completion of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) by hosting a party for him and his friends. She noted that the event was a relief for parents as much as it was a milestone for the children.
Why it matters
The story highlights the intense cultural pressure of the PSLE examination system in Singapore and the parental relief following the conclusion of the academic milestone.
The stress of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is officially over (for now) for local actress Yvonne Lim and her family.
The 50-year-old shared in an Instagram post on Sunday (Oct 11) that she threw a "We Survived PSLE" party to mark the major milestone, treating her son and his friends to a homemade feast.
Recognising the hard work that both the children and parents put in over the years, she wrote: "It's a milestone for them but more than anything, I hope they will look back and remember the friendships, laughter and good memories that came with this chapter.
"Although, judging by the celebration, I think we parents were even more relieved and excited than the kids. We made it too!"
