YTL Power and Ganda Power secure four additional Siemens Energy gas turbine units

PETALING JAYA: YTL Power International Bhd , Ganda Power and Siemens Energy have signed reservation agreements for four additional SGT-9000HL gas turbine units.
In a statement, YTL Power said the reservations add to the three units previously secured by Ganda and YTL Power, bringing the total to seven, intended to support power generation projects in Malaysia and the wider region with a combined capacity of over 5,250 megawatts (MW).
“The agreement advances YTL Power’s commitment to meet growing energy needs in Malaysia and regionally, as industrial expansion, electrification and the development of data centres and artificial intelligence (AI) drive demand for reliable electricity. “They also extend a longstanding relationship combining YTL’s infrastructure development and operating experience with Siemens Energy’s generation technology,” said the company.
