YSRCP organises coordination meet with the cadre ahead of proposed local body polls
YSRCP leader Botcha Satyanarayana held a coordination meeting to prepare party workers for upcoming local body elections. He criticized the ruling NDA government for failing to address public issues like water shortages in Visakhapatnam.
Why it matters
The meeting signals the start of election campaigning and highlights the political friction between the YSRCP and the ruling NDA in Andhra Pradesh.
Ahead of proposed local body elections, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLC Botcha Satyanarayana conducted a coordination meeting with the cadre at the party office, where he called upon party workers to stay actively engaged with the people, take up their problems and prepare for the upcoming local body elections.
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Satyanarayana alleged that nearly half of Visakhapatnam’s population was facing drinking water issues, yet the ruling NDA representatives lacked the commitment to resolve them. He alleged that the situation clearly explains that the NDA leaders were more interested in ‘exploitation’ than resolving public issues. He said that employees, students and unemployed youth were taking to the streets over various issues.
