A TDP leader has accused the YSRCP of spreading misinformation regarding the Mega DSC teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh. He defended the government's transparency and alleged that the previous administration committed irregularities in past recruitment drives.
Why it matters
It highlights ongoing political tensions and accountability disputes surrounding public sector employment in India.
MLC Bhumireddy Rama Gopal Reddy on Monday accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of spreading misinformation about the Mega DSC recruitment process and said the government would not remain a mute spectator to attempts to mislead unemployed youth.
Addressing a press conference at the TDP central office, Mr. Rama Gopal Reddy alleged that the YSRCP was creating an unnecessary controversy as it could not accept the growing public support for Education Minister Nara Lokesh’s reforms in the education sector.
He said the government had filled 16,347 teacher posts through the Mega DSC recruitment process in a transparent manner and that details of more than 16,000 selected candidates were available in the public domain.
