The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders decided to allocate tickets for the upcoming local body election to hardcore loyalists rather than turncoats who had abandoned the party at its most critical time, at a meeting held in Kadapa on Monday (September 7, 2026).
The meeting was chaired by the party district president P. Ravindranath Reddy, who is also the maternal uncle of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The meeting was attended by MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy, former Deputy Chief Minister S.B. Amzad Basha, State spokesperson Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy, Badvel MLA Dr. Dasari Sudha, Rajampeta MLA Akepati Amarnatha Reddy, MLCs D.C. Govinda Reddy and Ramachandra Reddy, former Kadapa Mayors K. Suresh Babu and Paka Suresh among others.
