The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council witnessed disruptions caused by members of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Thursday.

Chairman Moshenu Raju rejected an adjournment motion moved by YSRCP members Varudu Kalyani, Rajagolla Ramesh Yadav and others seeking a discussion on alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 recruitment under sports quota, and proceeded with the Question Hour.

During Question Hour, responding to a question raised by Somu Veerraju, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said the Finance Department had allocated ₹150 crore to the department for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu. He said the Chief Minister had already written to the Centre seeking funds for the mega event. In addition, ₹1,144 crore had been allocated to the municipalities in the areas where the Pushkaralu would be held through schemes such as UIDF and UCF, he informed.
