The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has criticised the arrest of its State spokesperson Nagarjuna Yadav by the Telangana Police, alleging that the action was politically motivated and reflected coordination between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Addressing a press conference at the party’s central office in Tadepalli on Tuesday, former MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu, party spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra, and YSRCP students’ wing working president Ravichandra alleged that the case was registered over remarks made by Mr. Nagarjuna Yadav during a television debate nearly two years ago. They questioned the timing of the action, claiming it reflected a political vendetta rather than a genuine legal grievance, and argued that authorities had failed to verify the authenticity of the video.
