Youth, teen girl from Kollam found dead on rail track in Angamaly

A 21-year-old man and his teenage relative were found dead on a railway track near Angamaly in the early hours of Saturday (September 19, 2026), according to the police. The deceased are Abhilash Anilkumar of Pallimon, Kollam, and a 15-year-old Class 10 girl student from Eravipuiram, Kollam.

The Angamaly police were alerted about the incident around 2 a.m. on Saturday. The duo had been missing from their homes since Friday (September 18, 2026). Separate missing cases were registered at Kananalloor and Eravipuram police stations following complaints from the families.

The police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The bodies were shifted to the Angamaly Taluk Hospital.
