The police on Friday arrested a youth for allegedly murdering an unidentified woman beggar in Palamaner town after she caught hold of him and raised an alarm when he attacked her in an inebriated condition.

The accused, Satish Kumar of Ambedkar Nagar in Palamaner, was arrested at the Chittoor railway station. The police recovered a knife allegedly used in the crime.
