Youth gets seven years imprisonment for sexual assault

According to prosecution, Isravel Selvasekar, 35, of Palayamkottai sexually assaulted a teenage girl and was arrested by Palayamkottai All Women Police in 2024.
Judicial Magistrate of Special Court for POCSO cases Suresh Kumar on Wednesday awarded seven years imprisonment for sexually assaulting the minor. He also imposed a fine of ₹5,000 on Isravel Selvasekar and directed the Tamil Nadu Government to pay compensation of ₹1 lakh to the victim.
