A 22-year-old youngster has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on three occasions after allegedly gaining her trust by promising to marry her, according to a complaint filed by the girl’s aunt. The Jeedimetla police booked a case.
The girl, a class IX student and a native of Andhra Pradesh, occasionally stayed with her grandparents in Jeedimetla. According to the complaint, she came into contact with the accused, Madhu, who worked at a bakery in the locality, about a year ago when she was visiting the area for a festival.
Madhu, a resident of Chintal, allegedly made promises of love and marriage and subsequently remained in frequent contact with the girl over the phone. The two also allegedly met occasionally when she visited Jeedimetla.
