The Kadayam police have arrested two persons for allegedly murdering a youth at Pottalpudur on Friday night.
Police said two armed persons who came to the Pottalpudur van stand on a bike around 9.30 p.m. on Friday beheaded mason L. Santhanam, 28, of Pasumpon Nagar even as the victim was returning home on his bike. After abandoning the bike on which they came at the scene of crime, the assailants escaped in another two-wheeler.
The Kadayam police sent the body to Tenkasi Government Hospital for a post-mortem.
