Youth arrested for morphing woman’s photos
A 23-year-old man from Thoothukudi was arrested by the Cyber Crime Wing for morphing and sharing obscene photos of a woman on social media. The suspect is also facing similar charges in another district.

The District Cyber Crime Wing has arrested a youth from Thoothukudi district for morphing the photograph of a woman in an obscene manner.
Police said N. Therisamy, 23, of Sriramapuram near Vaippaar under Vilaaththikulam Taluk in Thoothukudi district met a woman from Paavoorchathram on social media. When she stopped speaking with him, he targetted another woman in the same group. He morphed the photograph of the woman and shared them with her.
Based on a complaint from the victim, the police arrested Therisamy, who is facing a similar case in Coimbatore district. His mobile phone was seized.
