Your Samsung phone can unlock your Volkswagen car

Samsung has partnered with Volkswagen to allow Galaxy phone users to use their devices as digital car keys via Samsung Wallet. The feature uses NFC and UWB technology for hands-free access and is currently rolling out to select electric vehicle models in Europe.

You can lock, unlock, and start your Volkswagen car using the Digital Key stored in Samsung Wallet. You can also use your phone to open the trunk remotely. The Digital Key can also be shared with trusted people, such as family members and friends, to grant them temporary access to your vehicle.
