A person can continue working, eating normally and going about daily life while liver damage quietly progresses.TOI spoke to Dr Shaleen Agarwal, Principal Consultant & Chief of Liver Transplant & HPB Services, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, who explained, “The liver has an amazing capacity to keep working even when it is severely damaged. Thus liver disease may be without symptoms for years. But sometimes the body gives visible clues, such as in the eyes, skin, urine, stool or abdomen, before a person realises that something is wrong.”These changes do not automatically mean liver disease.
