Senior physician and Padma Shri awardee Kutikuppala Surya Rao on Tuesday urged young doctors to focus on research and continuing medical education (CME) to excel in their careers and serve the society in a better way.
Dr. Rao, a fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), has been invited to be the judge for NAMS annual convocation, to be held between October 9 and 11 at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Center in Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to media, Dr. Kutikuppala Surya Rao said that the invitation was a matter of pride and great honour for his native Srikakulam district, as, according to him, the opportunity to attend as a judge had not been given to anyone recently from Andhra Pradesh.
