‘You don’t treat human beings that way’: Holding slams Pakistan over Imran Khan

Former West Indies pacer Michael Holding has joined the growing list of cricketing figures calling for better treatment of former Pakistan captain Imran Khan, saying the imprisoned 1992 World Cup winner should be treated “just like another human being”.Imran has been in a Pakistani prison since 2023 while facing ongoing legal cases, with concerns over his health and access to basic facilities continuing to grow. His family has claimed that he does not even have access to books and has not been provided proper medical facilities.The issue gained fresh attention after 21 international captains including Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, wrote to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, urging authorities to ensure basic amenities for Imran.
