Yellow alert for five districts in Keralam on September 24

Northern Keralam is likely to receive widespread rain on Thursday (September 24, 2026) influenced by a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal. According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday (September 23, 2026), the deep depression will continue to move west-northwestwards and cross the north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur, close to Kalingapatnam, by Wednesday night. Under the influence of the system, parts of the State are likely to receive isolated heavy showers for the next couple of days.
