Urban Development Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah called on senior Congress MLAs H.C. Mahadevappa, K. Venkatesh and Tanveer Sait in Mysuru on Tuesday, seeking their cooperation and guidance in discharging his responsibilities.
Mr. Yathindra arrived at the Government Guest House in Mysuru while the three senior Congress MLAs, believed to be upset over their exclusion from the Cabinet, were holding a meeting to chart their future course of action.
The meeting of the disgruntled MLAs coincided with a programme organised by the Mysuru City and District Congress Committee to mark former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s 79th birthday.
Mr. Yathindra said he had planned to meet the senior MLAs at their residences to seek their guidance and blessings. “I was not aware of their meeting, but when I telephoned, I was asked to come here,” he told reporters after meeting the senior MLAs at the Government Guest House.
