Yankees Leave Aaron Judge Off ALDS Roster

A sports commentary piece argues against the narrative that Aaron Judge is injury-prone, highlighting his high volume of plate appearances and games played over the last decade. The author positions Judge as one of the greatest right-handed power hitters in baseball history.
Why it matters
It provides a statistical defense of a high-profile athlete's career durability, challenging common media perceptions regarding his health.
I don’t really get this narrative. He hasn’t struggled to stay healthy until this year. He’s struggled with occassional injuries.
Over the last 10 years, he has 10 WAR* more than anyone else (Lindor/JRam/Mookie bunched up 10 wins behind him). He has 13 more HR than Schwarber and 53 more than Olson. He has the 25th most PA, more PA than Matt Chapman or Andrew Benintendi or Ozzie Albies, none of whom are considered guys that struggle to stay healthy. Judge has the 34th most games played in that span.
In his 30’s, until this year, not counting this year, it had been the same. 25th in PA, 41st in games, 1st in HR by 23, 1st in WAR* by 10 (Witt), 1st in RBI (by 1 ahead of Alonso). 2nd in R (by 1 behind Ohtani), etc..
