The Yadgir district administration has submitted a ₹287.7 crore proposal to the Karnataka government seeking administrative approval for a comprehensive underground drainage (UGD) project designed to overhaul the city’s sanitation and civic infrastructure.
Speaking to The Hindu , Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve stressed that Yadgir’s rapid population growth necessitates major infrastructural upgrades, particularly in sewage management.
”A proposal of ₹287.7 crore has been forwarded to the State government for administrative sanction for the UGD project and other civic infrastructure, following the technical approval of the Detailed Project Report,” Mr. Pandve stated.
