Yadagirigutta to Solapur: After three years, woman recovers memory, finds her way home

A 55-year-old woman suffering from schizophrenia was reunited with her family in Solapur after being found wandering in Telangana three years ago. Her recovery was facilitated by a psychiatrist using the Legal Services to Persons with Mental Illness program.
A few lines of observation penned by B.P. Swaroop in a note became Asiya’s passport from the temple town of Yadagirigutta in Telangana to Solapur in Maharashtra. They contained just a few clues: Koli Samaj in Solapur, and the names of her son, Salman, and daughter, Aksa.
