Xiaomi launches Redmi 17C 5G with Dimensity 6300 in India

Xiaomi on Thursday (October 1, 2026) has launched a new mid-segment smartphone, the Redmi 17C 5G , in India. It is IP64 rated for dust and splash, and supports Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
Redmi 17C 5G has a 6.9-inch display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a 6000 mAh battery, supported by a 33W charging inside the box. It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Redmi 17C 5G gets MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. It also supports up to 12 GB virtual RAM. It operates on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.
