Xiaomi launches Redmi 17 5G in premium segment in India

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17 5G smartphone in India, targeting the premium segment with a 6.9-inch display and a 7,900mAh battery. The device features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor and runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Xiaomi has launched Redmi 17 5G smartphone in India for the premium segment buyers . The Chinese smartphone maker has provided a 3.5mm jack and IP64 dust and splash rating in the Redmi 17 5G.
Redmi 17 5G has a 6.9 inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 825 nits of high brightness mode. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i as well.
Redmi 17 5G ships with a 7,900mAh battery, supported by a 45W charger inside the box. It also supports wired reverse charging.
Redmi 17 5G runs on Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor with up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. It also supports storage of up to 2TB via microSD. The phone operates on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.
