Xi Jinping tells state dinner US and China share goals but must act responsibly

Both leaders spoke about their history of shared trade and diplomacy, after a meeting earlier that day that had little breakthrough on thorny topics like artificial intelligence, Taiwan and the US war with Iran.

Journalists from CNN and MS NOW were turned away from covering Xi Jinping's arrival for the state dinner, just hours after a federal judge ordered the White House to restore their access.

According to CNN, the White House asked the network on Wednesday evening, local time, for names to credential for the arrival.
