Xcena and Samsung's Near Memory Compute CXL Device

XCENA and Samsung have collaborated to develop the MX1, a CXL-based memory expansion device designed to handle massive data-parallel workloads. The device features 3072 RISC-V cores and supports up to 2TB of DDR5 memory, aiming to address the high memory demands of modern AI models.
