Wyoming joins $15 billion LayerZero exodus with state stablecoin move
The state of Wyoming has migrated its FRNT stablecoin infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP following security concerns. This move marks the first time a U.S. government entity has replaced its blockchain infrastructure due to security risks, joining a broader industry trend.

The commission has completed the migration and will fully deprecate its LayerZero token implementation following what it said was an extensive security review. Chainlink CCIP will serve as FRNT’s exclusive cross-chain infrastructure under a multi-year contract.
While the token currently has a market capitalization below $1 million, the move marks the first time a U.S.government entity has publicly replaced its blockchain infrastructure on security grounds.
The decision comes four months after attackers stole 116,500 rsETH , then worth about $292 million, from Kelp DAO’s LayerZero-powered bridge. The incident, which led to a tit-for-tat over who’s to blame, triggered a series of security reviews and migrations.
