Smit Machchhar, he had opened the cockpit door while on the floor of the plane and actively being attacked by his Omani copilot."I was lying on the floor injured but I told myself to go for one last push to open the door from inside," he said.Machchhar added that, while he was fighting for his life, "I knew I was not going to let others die."According to several Indian news outlets, Machchhar is a Gujarati Indian from Mumbai.
