Ahead of World Hepatitis Day on July 28, The Hindu, in association with Kauvery Hospital, will host a webinar on “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down - Prevention, Early Detection & Cure” on July 27 at 11.30 a.m.
The session will focus on improving public awareness of viral hepatitis, including how it spreads, the importance of early diagnosis, vaccination, and timely treatment, while also addressing common myths surrounding the disease.
A. Shafique, interventional gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Kauvery Hospital, Tirunelveli, will explain the causes of viral hepatitis, modes of transmission of Hepatitis B and C, associated risk factors and the need for early screening.
