A workshop aimed at removing regulatory bottlenecks and strengthening life-safety infrastructure in high-rise residential, retail, hospital, hotel, school and commercial projects was held in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
The workshop focused on streamlining the framework for provisional fire no-objection certificates (NOCs) and promoting the adoption of advanced fire-safety technologies in buildings. It was organised jointly by CREDAI Hyderabad, NAREDCO Telangana and the Hyderabad chapter of the Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI), in coordination with the Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department.
The workshop comes in the backdrop of the withdrawal of National Building Code of India 2016 and introduction of the advisory National Building Construction Standards 2026.
