Works by Isha Valentine, Vidhya Venkatappa on display at MKF Museum of Art

What matters to each of us could be as different as caterpillars and concrete. Two distinct styles of art depicting this facet of human nature is on display at the MKF Museum of Art. Showcasing the works of Isha Valentine and Vidhya Venkatappa, On Things That Matter not only resonates at a personal level but is also universal in its appeal.

At first glance it would seem Vidhya’s work correlates to the material world, while Isha has attempted to capture the metaphysical. However, the underlying inspiration for both artists remain fundamentally similar.

Overlapping memories and diverse time frames are significant in Isha’s art. “Many things are important to us; those that exist in the past, we revisit in our memories,” she says, adding those recollections could be brought on by an object, incident or person.
