Worker electrocuted to death in Theni

A daily wage worker was electrocuted to death after he accidentally touched an electric fence installed around a sugarcane field near Varusanadu. The police said K. Siva, 29, from Ponnagar village in Andipatti, had come to the sugarcane field located along Thangammalpuram-Varusanadu road for work. He accidentally touched an electric fence and was electrocuted to death. The body was taken to Theni Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
