Worker at care home investigated by BBC struck off for threatening elderly man
A care worker at a Scottish nursing home has been struck off after being secretly filmed threatening an elderly resident with dementia. The incident, which was featured in a BBC documentary, led to a misconduct hearing where the worker's claims of inadequate training were rejected.

A carer who was secretly filmed mocking and threatening an elderly bedbound man with dementia has been struck off.
Amina Sani was found to have threatened the 81-year-old with police and threatened to hit him when he became distressed and lashed out at the prospect of being showered against his will.
The Nigerian worker went on to carry out the man's intimate personal care while a cleaner held his arms down.
The incidents at Castlehill Care Home in Inverness on 10 April last year came to light after the resident's daughter installed a secret camera in his room due to concerns over his care.
The footage was later featured in a BBC documentary into care standards at Castlehill, in which families accused the home of "cruelty" and "neglect".
