Work with police to curb illicit liquor, Karnataka Minister for Labour and Employment appeals to residents

Minister for Labour and Employment and Dharwad district in-charge Minister Santosh Lad has appealed to the residents and local leaders to work with the police to completely curb the sale of illicit liquor and arrack in rural areas.
Speaking at a Praja Seva Andolana meeting on the Devara Hubballi Gram Panchayat premises in Dharwad taluk on Wednesday (September 2), Mr. Lad said alcohol and arrack addiction were ruining the lives of young people and their families. He appealed to villagers to provide the police with information about the illegal sale of liquor and extend their cooperation in shutting down unauthorised outlets.
