Women urged to know womb cancer signs
Health officials in the Southern Trust area are urging women to recognize the symptoms of womb cancer during Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection through medical consultation for abnormal bleeding is emphasized as a key factor in successful treatment.

Two Southern Trust nurses are encouraging women to know the signs of womb cancer and to seek advice if they have any concerns, as part of Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month this September. Womb cancer is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK.
Sharon Quinn, Gynaecological Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Kelly Harrison, Gynaecological Oncology Nurse, support women throughout the Southern Trust area through diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care, and are using the awareness month to highlight the importance of recognising symptoms early, saying early diagnosis can make a significant difference.
